Prices 2025

The prices are excluding local tax over the age of 14 years.The tax will be paid directly at the reception.

The prices are including the Bolzano Card Mobility (advantage card for the duration of the stay for guests starting from the age of 6 years).

All pitches are equipped with hook-ups for electricity (A+B: 6A, C+D: 16A), fresh/waste water and digital satellite television as well as Wi-Fi-connection.

NB: For the category C and D pitches, with 16 Amp. electricity hook-ups, 6 kWh per night is included in the price.

The prices are applied per night; including VAT, swimmingpool (mid April till October), electric current (6 kWh a night on the camping pitches category C and D), sanitary rooms, fresh water/sewer connection.

NB: The standard internet is free of charge, high-speed internet is available on payment in 1, 3 and 7 day packages

Our tent area is available to guests arriving on foot or by bicycle (up to 3-person tent). Dogs are not allowed in the tent area. Reservations for the tent area are not possible.

During the period from 12th till 27th April 2025 (Eastern) and 7th till 22nd June 2025 (Whitsun) we accept reservations starting from 5 nights.

For a stay for one or two nights we ask you to contact us on the morning of your proposed arrival.

General Terms and conditions for Camping Moosbauer

...so that we all get well along

As far as the term campsite is used within the general terms and conditions, as well as in the rules of the campsite, this refers to the company "Camping Moosbauer KG der Sigbritsdotter Marit Kristina".

Reservations

We look forward to receiving your reservation, either via phone or email.
To make a reservation we request a minimum stay of three consecutive nights (up to max. 21 nights)
For the period from the Saturday before Palm Sunday to the Sunday after Easter and for the period from the Saturday before Pentecost to the Saturday after Corpus Christi, we request a minimum stay of five consecutive nights (up to a maximum of 21 nights).
Reservations for less than 3 nights can only made on the day of arrival.
Reservations for the following year are accepted only from 01/01 of the current year. Example: from 01/01/2021 is is possible to submit reservation requests for the year 2022.
New customers are required to make a down payment of Euro 50,- (for pitches in the categories A/B/C) or Euro 100,- (for pitches in the category D) to confirm the reservation. This amount will be deducted from the bill at the end of your stay.

The payment can be made by bank-transfer to our bank account or it is also possible to pay by credit card using the online procedure which is explained in the email which you receive with our quote. The details herefore you will receive with the reservation confirmation.

For customers who have already been our guests, no down payment is required.
The reserved pitch will be kept free until 6 pm on the booked day of arrival after which it may be assigned to other guests, unless another time of arrival has been agreed upon and confirmed by the camp site in wirting.
The reservation confirms the category of the pitch and the period of stay. Thie pitch number will be communicated only upon arrival.

Cancellations

There is no right of withdrawal within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Code - however, we are willing to apply the following cancellation conditions:

Reservations with a down payment (new costumers)

In case of a cancellation up to four days before the booked arrival-date, the down payment will be credited for a next stay, within the end of the following year, after that the down payment will expire.
In case of a cancellation within three day of the booked arrival-date, the down payment of Euro 50,- (pitches in the categories A/B/C) or Euro 100,- (pitches in category D) will be retained and the reservation is forfeited.
In case of a no-show, without prior cancellation, of reservations with a down payment, the pitch will be kept free until 6 pm of the booked day of arrival, after which the pitch can be given to another party and the down payment of Euro 50,- (pitches in the categories A/B/C) or Euro 100,- (pitches in category D) will be retained and cancellation fees equal to the total amount of three nights for two adults in the booked category will be charged.

Reservations not requiring a down payment

For cancellations up to four days before the booked arrival-date there are no cancellation fees.
For cancellations within three days before the booked arrival-date, a cancellation fee of Euro 50,- (pitches in the categories A/B/C) or Euro 100,- (pitches in category D) will be charged.
In case of no-show (without cancellation) for reservations without a down payment, cancellation fees equal to the total amount of three nights for two adults in the booked pitch category will be charged.

Early departure

In case of an early departure, 80% of the total amount of the remaining nights (of the minimum stay of the reservation period) will be charged.

In case of an arrival after 10 pm, the reserved day of arrival will be charged in full (Attention! The gates are closed 10pm - 7am).

Camping rules

The campsite guest accepts the campsite rules for himself and for the guests registered by him. The camping rules are displayed on the information board in the entrance area and published on the internet.
The campsite operator has unrestricted domiciliary rights.
Arrival and Check-In takes place between 12pm (noon) and 6pm. Later arrivals by previous arrengement only.
Departure: until 12pm (noon).
On the day of arrival, guests must present their documents at the reception for the registration as required by law.
The pitch for the stay is assigned by the reception and it can be changed only after prior approval by the management.
The assigned pitch is limitied to this space and therefore all equipment, car included, must remain within the boundaries of the pitch, unless other arrangements are made with the management.
Animals are allowed only with the express permission of the management; the owner must ensure that the animals do not disturb other guests. It is forbidden for animals to enter the swimming pool area and the swimming pool itself, to enter the store and sanitary facilities. Dogs must be kept on a leash, whether on their pitch or throughout the campsite.
It is forbidden to make changes to plants and fixtures on the campsite.
Guests are asked to behave considerately at all times of the day and night, respecting the peace of other guests. During the NIGHT REST FROM 11PM TO 7AM, the use of vehicles, televisions, radios and other sources of noise is strictly prohibited.
Visitors of registered campsite guests are allowed entrance to the camp site only with the permission of the responsible staff and after depositing an ID card at the reception desk. It is not allowed for visitors to use the pool nor the swimming pool area. Visitors must leave the campsite before 10 pm at the latest. Visitors must park their vehicle on the pitch of the visited campsite guest.
Important note: Registered guests who wish to stay overnight outside the campsite during their stay (e.g., in a mountain hut, returnig home for work reasons, etc.) are reminded that the person must personally check out and in at the reception desk each time they depart or arrive. Not doing so will result in the full fees and local tax to be charged, even for the time spent away from the camp site. It is not possible to make this notification in retrospect.
The gates are permanently closed from 10pm to 7am.
The campsite management reserves the right to expel from the campsite all those who do not respect the points of the campiste rules and/or disturb the safety of the community.
The campsite is not responsible for lost or damaged objects, for accidents and injuries, nor for the occurrence of epidemics and diseases.
Likewise, liability for fire and wheater damages, as well as for damages due to force majeure, will be rejected. No discounts will be granted for the aforementioned grievances.

Payments can be made in Euro. The following credit & debit cards are accepted, in addition to cash payments (max. 4:999.99 Euro, as of 01.01.2023): Visa, V-Pay, Master Card, EC, Maestro. Please note, that we do not accept American Express and Diners Club.
SWIMMING POOL
Opening hours from 8am to 8pm
Street shoes, dogs, balls and floating aids are NOT allowed in the swimming pool and pool area. Also, jumping into the pool is strictly prohibited.

Our history

1937

This is where the history of the Egger family at the Moosbauer begins. Lorenz Egger's first marriage was to the widow Maria. Due to financial difficulties the "Moosbauer-Hof" was put up for sale in 1937. The sale of Lorenz Egger's home farm made it possible for him to buy his wife's home house and a small part of the vineyard and so they moved to Moritzing. Unfortunately Mrs. Maria Egger died in 1939.

The 1940s

The first "camping guests" were the German Wehrmacht in the 1940s. The soldiers set up their camp in the yard. After the war the first tourists came with tents and asked if they could camp under the fruit trees. It was still a farm with fruit growing and cattle farming. An "outhouse" and a cattle watering place were the whole "luxury" in the sanitary area, nothing more was there.

1948

Until 1948 the "Moosbauer" was a pure farm with cattle and agriculture. After the death of his first wife Lorenz Egger marries Rosa. Before her marriage Rosa Egger worked in the "Kur-Gasthof Schwefelbad" (there were sulphur baths there until the end of the 50s). Since she had experience in gastronomy, friends and acquaintances thought it would be interesting to build a restaurant on the Moosbauerhof again. After careful consideration Rosa and Lorenz Egger decided to open a snack station. In 1948 the concession for the "Einkehrhaus Moosbauer" was granted and so the old tradition of the Einkehrhaus was continued. Where you, dear guests, are sitting today in the restaurant and by the swimming pool, the citizens of Bolzano used to sit under fruit trees at a "Marende". The "Moosbauer" became a popular excursion destination. At that time most of the guests still came to Moritzing on foot from the city. Little by little the range of dishes was extended and the terrace of the house was used to entertain the guests. Also inside the house two guest rooms were furnished. With this, winter operation was also possible and the "Moosbauer" became a meeting place for many regular guests.

1957 The birthday of Camping Moosbauer

At the inn "Schwefelbad" there was already an official camping site. But somehow the guests didn't like it there so much, because it was directly at the street. At that time the streets were not yet asphalted, so it was very dusty, of course; so more and more guests came to the "MOOSBAUER" The owner of the "Schwefelbad" was not very happy about that and one day a police control came and demanded from Lorenz Egger the permission to run a camping site, which of course was not available. Well, he paid a penalty fee, applied to the state administration for a camping license, 14 days later he held it in his hands. (Imagine that today!) The Camping Moosbauer was born.

1972 The legacy

Lorenz Egger died on 23 October 1972 after a long illness, but unexpectedly. His five children had all worked in their parents' business. In 1966 the eldest son Lenz married. Livestock farming had already been abandoned and so the stable and feed house were demolished and a residential house with two apartments was built. The son Lenz moved into an apartment in this house with his wife in 1966 and son Hermann moved in with his wife in 1970. Daughter Hertha got married already in 1965 and moved with her husband to Kardaun. In spring 1971 daughter Edith got married and moved to Andrian. Lenz and Hermann work in agriculture.
The domain of the youngest son Erich has already been the host company for several years. In autumn 1971, the last "Moosbauer-sprout" married and took over the management of the inn with his wife Reinhild with guest rooms and camping site.

1972 - 2020

In the last 48 years a lot has been built, restructured, renovated, improved, updated and above all reflected.

2005 3rd generation - LernCamping®

Klaus Egger, son of Erich and Reiny, marries the Swede Marit Kristina (Mia) and takes over the helm in 2005. The fresh breeze brings many innovative ideas and changes. In 2009 the era of LernCamping® begins with the construction of the Lerning loo.

2017 Sustainability first

The anniversary year becomes a year of change. For some time now, the campsite has been made more environmentally friendly by using green energy, salt water pools, heat recovery and much more.
The year 2017 was announced by the UN as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism. Reason enough to rethink and revise the philosophy of the campsite and restaurant to bring them closer to "sustainability". Since 2017 the Moosbauer is a 100% climate neutral company.

2019

Klaus Egger devotes more and more of his time to his work as a management consultant on sustainability issues and accepts the position of personal advisor to the Governor of South Tyrol, Arnold Kompatscher. His wife Mia (Marit) takes over the business.
